This time of year

I was Christmas shopping with mum the other day, I looked around and realised something.

No one look happy while Christmas shopping.

Seriously, none of the shop assistants, the shoppers, most the middle-aged suburban mum's. None of them looked happy buying gifts for loved ones. In this materialistic world, when we're getting something for someone else, we don't enjoy it.

Ah well, it'll be over for another year in 4 days.

Merry Christmas!

I'm such a Scrooge at Christmas. I don't mid the 'giving' part, or the 'getting; part, it's just the 'buying' part. I got the last of my presents on Christmas Eve Eve. I think there is too much stuff these days, and I have no idea what to get anyone, mostly because they hardly want anything. I wish we would just get a few things for each other, and then just give each other $20, meaning in the end you will still have the same money you started with. Talk about the grinch...
